How to download Official Windows Updates?

Ever thought of downloading Windows Updates from their site without using ‘Automatic Updates’? If you are a ‘techie’ you must have thought of it at least once. Here is a simple way to do this :
- Go to the Windows Update Web Site. Make sure you open it in Internet Explorer, for some reason this site wont open in any other browsers!
- In the left panel, under Other Options, select “Personalize Windows Update”.
- Under “Set Options for Windows Update”, select the checkbox for “Display the Link to Windows Update Catalog under ‘See Also’”, then click “Save Settings”. More >

Create shortcut key for applications
If you use a programme more often that you want to set a shortcut key for that application simply follow this:
- Create a shortcut if you are trying with an application directly (Right click and select ‘Create Shortcut’ the .exe file)
- Right click the shortcut you want to assign shorcut key to and select ‘Properties’
- In the ‘Shortcut’ tab click on the text box near to the field ‘Shortcut Key’
- Now just press the key combination you want to use as shortcut key. eg : CTRL+ALT+P or CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+P etc..
- Thats it! Just press that key combination anytime to open the application!
